Introduction

I never asked for fame. I never even wished for it. I write one screenplay, submit it to one studio, and get offered a single deal. I thought after this one was done, I would be too. No, that's not the way it happened. They wanted another, then another, and another. So, I kept writing, and they kept producing, and money kept coming in.  So, I was thrown into fame. I won a few awards, as did my films. Then, they wanted me to write it, and produce it. I'm not a producer, I said. I wouldn't know where to begin, I told them. I didn't WANT to produce, but no, they wanted me to. Then the fighting started. Bids were flying left and right of my screenplays, over ME. One company wanted me, and then another would offer more, and so on and so on. It was craziness at it's best and worst. Before I knew it, I had money, money I could never even DREAM of. Not that I'm complaining, no, goodness no, nothing like that. It's just, I never ASKED for this. I was just a young girl, who wanted to write. So I wrote a script, and someone loved it, and made it a movie. Someone loved that movie, and nominated it for a few awards. Someone loved it SO much, they gave it the awards.

It's a vicious cycle that way. At 18 I was hurled onto the movie scene, quite unexpectedly. Okay, very unexpectedly. I never thought anyone would actually like what I had written. But they did, and in 5 years in the business, I was famous for my writing, and producing. Hi, I'm Jackie Carter. Jacquelyn Victoria Annalise Carter. I'm 23, with a highschool education. Never went to college, I was too busy writing and producing/directing before I could even think about college. How did I get into this field you ask? I wanted to write a script. I've always adored writers, from ones who write novels, to short kids' stories, to plays, to musicals and just music, to scripts. I decided to try my hand at it, and wrote my own script.  The infamous Living In A Desperate World. It was so…… American Beauty-ish. It was deep, took a look at society, warped and twisted, and it made you think. I liked movies like that. Movies that made you think. I remember when I was 18, back in 2000, and a movie called Unbreakable came out. Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis, in a warped movie about a guy with Osteoporosis, and another who never gets hurt. It was seriously twisted.

I make movies that make you think. Living In A Desperate World was my first movie. They cast some blonde, um, Marissa Venerable to play Calliope, a lonely girl who was basically the inspiration for another cynical girl and her writing. It kind of reflected my life in sorts. Me, a cynical girl who needed desperate inspiration, met a lonely, sad blonde who needed a friend. I wrote 7 more scripts, and produced and directed 4 of them. Yes, they were alright, nothing like some of the movies before my time though. I strive to make something as great as what I've seen. Enough about my career though. That's not as interesting as well…………. Okay, my life isn't at all interesting.  There's nothing to tell you really. Would you like to, perhaps, know some more about me, aside from my career in film?

I'm an avid writer, DUH. I also love sculpting, and other art forms. I could sit for hours and make a mosaic. You know, the pictures formed by shards of stained glass that look rather abstract, choppy? You can see the picture, but it doesn't have immense clarity and definition. I love making mosaics. I love sculpting, and painting, weaving, and just creating things.  I look the part of the artist too. I have a weird sense of style. The oddest things appeal to me, and work wonders on me. Who's the kid that has the weird sense of style he's almost known for… He was famous a few years ago, in a band… Well, that whole band was known for the odd style. Shit, who were they…. Oh yes! That Hanson group.  I've got that pseudo hippie style, mixed with modern fashion, and the goth culture in there too. I've got dark brown hair naturally, which is now a maroon color, the result of dying it. Brown eyes, which actually appear rather golden, like a cat's, and pale. Well, I have a natural tan, but to me I'm pale. I wear thin-framed glasses, that are darkly tinted, and have the normal, 8 piercings in each ear, along with my tongue pierced.  Am I boring you yet? I'm 5'2”, SHORT as ever. I'm tiny, and people find it hard to believe that someone as tiny as me could pack such a loud personality, and such strength. Well yes, I do. I'm extremely loud, and outgoing, and just love to be crazy.

We live in Santa Monica. We, as in me, and my best friend of my entire life. I've known her about 19 years, since I was 4. We're been best friends since the day we met. We live in a nice house on the shore, not too big, not too small. It's packed full of odd oddities. It looks like one of those gypsy stores. It certainly is fun to live in though! I pulled the curtains back and looked out the window into the driveway at the cars. My classic 68 Cougar, in yellow of course, our 72 mustang convertible in candy apple red, my 72 VW convertible bug, in baby blue, and Amber's 93 celica, black convertible, her 2000 blue Celica. She was into the modern cars, I was into classics. Classic cars, and bikes. I'm a biker chick. I love motorcycles. Parked in our LARGE garage is my 1999 Honda Shadow 1500. Along with that is my 1984 Harley. None of those stupid sport bikes, a.k.a. crotch rockets for me! No, I want REAL bikes. So yeah, I'm a little eccentric.
